TR6 Cheap TR6

So my buddy calls me to say he sent an e-mail with pix of a '76 TR6 for sale. 1 owner car, this guy is a Marine Colonel and his mother bought the car new. She drove it on Saturdays to get her nails done, then she would wash the car and put it away. She died a few years ago and the car has been sitting. 40k miles, all the original documentation and window stickers, the only problem is the guy wants $2,000.00 for it.

Why is the 2K price a problem??? Or was that asked tongue in cheek?

It was a problem 'cause I couldn't get the thing on a trailer fast enough. I was afraid someone else would get it.

Send money for car. Hire a towing company to take it away. Got AAA? They'll do it for free. Pay for short term storage, you're still way ahead.

Congratulations. Sometimes it's best to be lucky.
It looks like it will prove to be a very nice car.

I'm not the lucky one...my buddy is. I just happen to have a trailer.

Well done!!!!!!!!! Drive fast before the son finds out how much he could have got for it.
Regards
Craig

This guy was actually very cool. He knew it was worth more but was more interested in seeing the car in the hands of someone who would restore and take care of it. Gotta love the Marines!!

"WoW";

What a Great Buy (For your buddy)!

These only come along once in a lifetime for $2K.

Best Wishes,

Russ

And I thought I got the last great deal on my TR4 at $4000. Mine came restored though, except for the engine, still running strong at 104,000 miles. I guess I should have paid more.

I just gave away the car on the right a couple weeks ago. I didn't want it and had trouble finding someone to take it away.

w00f. Good snag.

16 hours to NAAfuk? Seems a bit too much time. I've made Cleve Land in an MGB in 18... but I was younger then. :smirk:

So Orlando is becoming the LBC hub of Florida?
