Chassis Grease

Okay everyone. I am one of the lucky ones and there is a Harbor Freight about 15 minutes from my house. So I go over there and buy myself a grease gun. I have heard there is about 12 thousand grease nipples on the car. So now I start looking at the grease. Whats type should I buy? What happens if the former owner used one type of grease and I start using another type? Is that okay? Any suggestion on what type of grease? Also if i remember some old suto stuff, I want to pump grease until it comes out a little or is there a certain number of pumps on the gun. Bought myself one with the flexible hose extension. Figured I would need it to get into the tight areas.

Thanks

Tony, as an all around grease I like complex lithium based grease. This class of grease can carry a symbol on the case "NLGI" . Other vendor Products that also comply with this criteria however may not have the symbol. but, all product brands which have this symbol are compatible. Some joints can be filled until the new grease shows on the out side.-FWIW---Keoke
