TR6 Chasing a TR6.

I went to a rubber and gasket specialty shop today to get some 1/4" rubber sheets to make my floorboard frame pads. Chatted with the owner when he found out I had a TR6 and said he knew of another one at a restoration shop across town. I was in the big city of Lafayette, LA. I found Rick's Rods and Customs across town, never knew it was there. A veritable Disneyland of customs! Yes, there was a TR6 there but delivered back to its owner. But said owner had a few of his other cars there.
One was a concours '59 Vette. But the real looker was a concours 1963 *409* Chevy Biscayne with 2-4bbl Carters and 4-on-the-floor. Totally stripped, totally concours.

The owner of the shop said the fella's 1973 TR6 was his from new, and concours. Only drives it on pretty days.
The shop was so clean, you could eat off the floors. And he has a 2 year waiting list.

Made me want to go home and burn my garage.

Must be nice to be rich.

The grass may always look a bit greener, but that doesn't make it any better than yours. I have my own thoughts on the word Concours.

"Personal concours" in one man's eyes is a dented, rusty every day driver that he loves, in another's eyes, a primo show car.

Very broad definition depending on wants, needs and use.
