TR6 Changing 73 TR6 Water Pump

Flummoxed

You guys have been invaluable. I've managed to make quite a few repairs on the TR (fuel tank sending unit, plugs in carbs, tach., etc.) thanks to your advice and help. I was going to tackle the water pump next. This seems pretty straightforward, drain system, three bolts on and off. Any pitfalls I should be aware of? One thing I did notice which made me swallow hard; the clearance between the steel fuel line (runs just under the thermostat housing)and the fan belt itself is extremely small. Prob. about a fingernail distance. However there is a small, old rubber buffer that protects the fuel line. Anyway, any advice is helpful. Thanks.
