The Central PA Triumph club had our annual fall leaf tour of upper Dauphin county and the weather was perfect. We had over 20 cars participating in a tape rally through the countryside. The leaves probably have another week before they peak but they were nonetheless quite spectacular. The 70+ degree weather and unobstructed sunshine was fantastic and quite out of the norm for late October.

Here's an over-the-windshield shot of us following a TR4 down one of the many mountain roads we followed.

We wandered around the hills for about 50 miles before ending in a picnic grove for what has to be the world's best home-made ham & bean soup that was simmering in a big kettle over an open fire for over a day.

This, coupled with club member Ron's outstanding Chocolate Hazelnut Stout and his quite righteous IPA homebrew made it a great end to our fall leaf tour.

Wishing everyone a safe and colorful Fall Leaf Season from Central PA,

You are killing me Ron. I can imagine a drive along Rt 118 to Ricketts Glen... anyway, I hope the weather will still be nice this coming weekend when I return from Seoul.

We took a top-down leaf-peeping tour in the CJ5 today. Just drove around all the backroads for a couple of hours. At one point we bopped down a "seasonal limited use" road and I put the windshield down for better viewing.
Colors were stunning, and we even found a guy waaaay out in the middle of nowhere selling pumpkins by the road. got 3 monsters for $3 a piece! These are the size ones you pay $15-20 for at the normal "pumpkin farm" places. cool!!
upper 70s and not a cloud in the sky. it was perfect!

I can smell the leaves. Your post on another thread reminded me of a road I used to take my brother's CJ5 on near Lock Haven, PA in Sproul State Forest. It is called Ferney Road, and so that post brought back a ton of great memories.
