Hi Folks.. I have a later tr3a.. 78xxx. 1960. My question.. The indicator lights on my car were red and green. I have no reason not to believe they are original. Any photos I have seen the lights are red and amber. Oh, the question.. Is mine correct or was there just a substitution for convenience on the production line? Not a big deal I guess but I wouldn't want anyone looking and saying ugh, you have a green indicator light:friendly_wink:

Your dash is correct for a later TR3. I do not know when the change occurred. But the later is red and green. And that continued into the TR4.

My car is 1960 # TS61324, took a look at my panel and my dash lights are RED and AMBER. Maybe this will help with determining where the change over took place. Frank

According to Piggott, the change occurred in March, 1960 at TS70182.

Just to clarify my remarks, prior to TS70182, the turn signal dash indicator was amber, after that, green.

As has been discussed before, there are “official” changeovers (mostly based on Service Bulletins, etc.), then “unofficial” changeovers (mostly based on various parts being available or not, using up old stocks, etc.). I’m not surprised that your experience is different. Odd? Probably not.

Well alrighty then... not like I am going for a concourse restoration anyway so...
