Does anybody know of a Cd player that will actually fit in a TR7/8 without sticking out of the console several inches?

REK.. I purchased, for my TR7 last year, a SONY EXPLODE CD/AM/FM stereo. Model # CDX-L55OX. It fits like a glove in the opening, and with the removable faceplate, it is flush with the console.
It is a great system for this size of car, with my INFINITY speakers. Very reasonable too.

Mine came with the Sony XPlode, and it fits fairly flush, but at an angle because of the depth. I've talked to one of the custom stereo install places, and they've told me they can fabricate a mounting plate to give it a more "finished" appearance.
