Carstuff again

I was just seeing the lighter color behind the bumper/grille...on original cars that area up in front of the radiator was painted black along with the area under/behind the rear bumper.

hmmm... so the rear valence should be black?

Yep....if pretty much follows the lines of the rear bumper...& the front area is black back to the angle on the inner fender where it turns straight towards the firewall

Rattlecan.

I just *know* i'm going to have dreams of rattling cans tonight...

So, RB cars are not all the same color under the bonnet? I knew about the valences though.

apparently from the radiator forward it should be black under the bonnet.

All MG bonnets are the same color as the car - just the area out front of the radiator that can bee seen through the grille/bumper is painted black (& they used a brush to do it - it looks like)...the black paint does not go all the wa to the radiator though - only to the place where the inner fenders flare outward.

ah... ok. I'm sure I'll get around to painting that stuff black again some day. Right now I have to take a possible smog check this year, into consideration, and get those malfunctioning smog bits replaced.
