But if its the small Ford V8 that I think you mean... it was not even from the same family. More along the lines of our preferred Ford 4 cylinders joined at the hip than the 'merican small block Ford V8.
DFV indeed. And two EnFo fours it was... Just alludin' to th' period. Shoulda said: "...with <span style="color: #FF0000">a</span> small Ford V-8 block as a base".
Just didn't want anybody to think that Cosworth had any doings with the 289 being a success in racing circles. Shelby and Holman & Moody had more to do with that one.
