Spent y'day removing the original carpet from my '79 MGB & replacing it with a kit I got from NW Imports - good kit, everything fit as should...no carpet for the little map pocket though...

...I didn't order the formed tunnel piece as I've got all the center console hiding it...but, learned a new trick for fitting it without wrinkles:
....I glued the back end down over the padding (which I had previously glued to tranny tunnel) & bolted the female seatbelt receptacles in place. The belts & glue were strong enough in holding the carpet in place that they allowed me to stretch the piece forward & attach it under the radio console...then it was easy to glue the carpet to the new padding...once the consoles were installed, it looks as it should...
