So, here I am, in the exciting phase of my 78 Spitfire rebuild. Actually putting the car back together. Right now I'm installing carpet. I bought a non molded kit because the price was just amazing. Cool thing is, it's a very high quality loop pile carpet, and the carpet place next to where I work had a huge remnant that matched it and gave me a huge portion of it for free. So my trunk will have matching carpet.
The first steps of the install have gone well, things look pretty good. Not great, but this is going to be a daily car, not a show queen. However, I'm trying to figure out an easy way to line up my center console e-brake pad mounting screw holes. Should I go under the car and put something sharp like a pin to stick out, or just keep fumbling about? It's just so hit or miss. I promise pics will be posted, or at least links to them, when I'm done. Thanks.
