Carpet fitting in the Bugeye

Any tricks to installing the carpet pieces over the inner wheel wells? The pieces I got from Moss are precut but flat, while the wheel well is obviously not. So it can't be glued flat as supplied. Some strategic cuts will be needed.

Any other experience with fitting carpet may be helpful to myself and other readers.

thanks
Fred

Yes, call my wife!

Seriously, she who is a seamstress did this (apparently they are now called Sewists but I digress). She took a very sharp box cutter knife and cut many tiny wedges and shaped it over the wheel well and then glued it down, it was magic to watch! She says if you fly her down she's happy to do it.

I had to cut some wedges out to get the pieces to fit the curvature of the wheel wells. Seems like they should come with these cuts, or at least instructions on how to do it. Hopefully this will help others. I also had to cut another small wedge toward the rear, not shown on this photo.
