It's time for me to get away from work once in a while. Are there any big Healeys at Carlisle events? I'd also like to shop for BJ7 parts. Is this a good place to pick up original or best repro parts?

That doesn't seem like a great draw for Healeys. I could be wrong. I've never visited there.

I'm in upstate NY. What might be other places to mull around and shop for parts within a days drive.
 
Carlisle was great in the 90's, it seems to get a little more sparse every year, though I haven't been for a few.
There are deals to be had and neat parts to find, but you have to do the leg work and it's a crap shoot. I've seen some gorgeous big Healeys there.
BTW, I grew up just east of Rochester.
 
I've been going to Carlisle for many years. It was declining for a while but the new owners have done a great job of reviving the event in the last two years. I shop for 100 and Sprite parts and have come away with quite a few finds over the years (including a 100M distributor and a rare AH embossed Brooklands Windscreen for a song). An AH club from New England has had a large vendor area and the Local AH Touring Club sponsors the Healey section of the Car Show. My BMW/Spitfire buddy and I have a booth in the vendor area but I only have Sprite parts to sell this year. I always enjoy the weekend. One recommendation - the best pickins are to be had on Friday as people are setting up and but the best deals occur on Sunday as people are packing up. Saturday is the best day to check out the huge car show area.
