I’d been driving for several days, with everything finally appearing proper with carburetor floats and mixture. I really thought I was over the worst here.
My hardest task was getting the front carburetor fuel level proper in the jet. Adjusting the float simply was not showing expected results. But I felt the car was finally running fine.
Here’s my latest question: Last night I tried starting the engine after working for two days on the rear suspension. The car backfired and the front carburetor was severely flooded. The plugs for that carburetor were soaked with fuel. But my mixture and float settings seemed correct. Was this condition totally caused by reason of the car’s rear end being tilted way up for two straight days? Could that be?
