I have started rebuilding a 1275 motor from a donated motor I received. I am having the block dipped and magnafluxed as I type this. The question is: should I remove the carbon ring around the top of the cylinder bores or leave it alone? And if I need to remove, what would be the best technique? I am going to use stock pistons so I don't want to go oversize on the bores.
