Carb Rebuild

Well I've just recieved my SU carb rebuild kits for my TD carbs. Seems there is more stuff in there than I actually need. First thing I did was try the new throttle shaft. There was only about .009" difference between body & shaft diameters but inserting the new one was quite a difference in feel. Not a drop of play or resistance. I soaked the throttle bodies in a small ultrasonic and then blasted with a walnut shell media to clean up the nooks & crannies.

Instructions are fairly straight forward and I only took 1 completely apart so I have the other as a model.

Any pointers/tips on the rebuild?

I will be posting pics of before, during & after when I have a chance.

everytime I do a carb, I have stuff left over from the kit.

Always, it is to be expected.
