Carb Rebuild Necessity

My '67 BJ8 has been sitting idle for about 6 years and I want to get her back up and running. The carbs were rebuilt prior to this.

My question is, since I am not sure if they are compatible with ethanol gas, should I rebuild them prior to trying to get her back running?
 
Just to clarify - are you saying the carburetors were rebuilt about six years ago? or were they rebuilt long before that? professional rebuild with proper seals, jets, and adjustments? and hopefully the carbs, pump, and tank weren't sitting with fuel in them.

Are your carbs the original carbs on the car? If they were rebuilt about six years ago, and the car hasn't run for six years, they're likely in very good condition. I think ethanol-mix gasoline has been used in NY for at least 20 years, so if the car were mine, I give the mechanicals and electrical a good check over, and crank it up.
