I've generally just soldeder them SHUT on most occasions. Not that I advocate bypassin' emissions devices... "strictly for off-road use" y'know.

BTW: How many old LBC's would it take to significantly affect the environs? I doubt there are enough of 'em still running to make a blip onna screen, especially considering all the SUV's runnin' around with the exemptions ~they've~ "qualified" for!
