Yesterday was cleaning the garage and found the last two pieces missing since we moved a year+ ago. the most important was the turn signal for the chrome bumper conversion. The other was a grose jet for the carb (remember 1500 - Zenith- Stromberg) I seem to remember a recent conversation which implied that the grose jet is not a good option. I have no strong feelings either way as it's a $4 part if I decide not to use it - any thoughts?
 
Hi JPSmit, IMOP they do not come any better. However, the earlier designs with a pin and ball reportedly did cause some problems. If yours is the ball only type use it!.---Fwiw--Keoke
 
Got any varmints? Grosse jets make excellent Wrist Rocket ammo. Viton tipped *solid* needle 'n seat is the way to go for the car.
 
I am in the "no" camp regarding Grose Jets. I'm one of the people who's had problems with them on two cars. On one, I had a valve that leaked, on the other car, the valves stuck closed. When they work they work OK, but... I'm fully in agreement with the Dr who suggested above to use the Viton tipped needles. Both my LBCs currently run Viton tipped float valves.
