I have a friend in my TR club who has a '67 GT6. He is rebuilding the carbs and has found all floats to be bad. Do you know of anyone that might carry these floats? He has not been successful in finding a source.

Compare your friend's float to the picture of the one shown in Randall's link. The early cars had a different float that is NLA. The early floats had a different offset and there was only one float valve actuator "paddle". When one of our car's floats sank I was fortunate and could rob a float out of an extra old carb.

I bought a later float to see if it could be adapted. I modified it to fit but never tried it. The mod involved cutting off one of the float valve actuator paddles and using a piece of tubing on the pivot pin to properly locate the float in the bowl. Again, I tinkered with it but never placed it in service.
