Okay, I'll admit it - I had one when I was a young lieutenant.....but there's another on ebay thats located in Tennessee & is gonna go for 1/3 the price of that one (if it hasn't already) & its ready to go......now, does anybody know where you store the spare in a Caravelle?

It was under the front luggage compartment, no? I think it was a safety feature, in the event of a crunch.

Pseudo-sportscar. I'm with Jeff. Make a planter out of it. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Yep - the center of the bumper is raised just for that reason...the body panel where the front license plate goes drops down.

I always thought that they were interesting looking cars,
but don't want one.
I remember there was an episode of "The Twilight Zone",
where Andy Devine was working at a gas station, when two
aliens drive up in a Caravelle.

I'm trying to place what it looks like..... MGB with the grille filled in? Offspring of a Karman Ghia and an Amphicar?..... Eh, Cest la vie!
Kinda cool if ya ask me. Of course performance is not a deciding factor for me.
