TR6 Car won't start after backing out of garage

Randall is correct about the voltmeter not showing the correct voltage. I picked up a green wire under the dash to hook up the voltmeter. When I turn on the headlights my voltmeter shows almost no charge but will return to normal when the headlights are turned off. I checked the alternator with and without the lights on and it had the Same output.

I think I'll just leave the ammeter in. It came from the factory that way and that's how I'll leave it.
