Car wants to die under deceleration/braking

Re: Car wants to die under deceleratoin/braking

i also had a similar idle situation, what can happen is the nut holding the linkage to the throttle shaft, can loosen a little bit and, at least in my situation, the car would idle high, but would kick down to normal. The nut has a lock tab but i have seen it loosen up regardless. Word of caution when snugging this nut up Do not overtighten. it it possible to shift the throttle shaft in the carb body causing problems.
My return spring is almost stiff enough....i can float the throttle plate as certain revs....kinda an odd feeling.

good luck
