Car Show fun

I went to my first car show - this year - today. It was also my first car show since I can't remember when. The show was listed on the Chicago MG Club's events list so I made plans to go.

Was a GORGEOUS day for a car show - bright, clear and SUNNY - in the mid 90's! Anyone remember the commercial "I feel like a french fry!"? That's me! Owwwwww

There were a few other British cars, a 69 MGB, a MG TF and a 38 PIII Roller. Also a pair of Nash Metro's.

There were few hundred cars, a massive swap meet with a little of everything and a lot of HOT! Did I mention it was sunny??! LoL

At the swap meet I found a copy of "The Modern Sports Car" by Tom McCahill (1954) for $10. At first I wasn't going to buy it but then I thought, if you DON'T buy it, someone on the Forums will say "oh man, you SHOULD have".....so I did!

It was a LOT of fun, found a "new" old book and got a free sunburn. I did mention it was HOT, didn't I?!

Here's a picture of me parked next to the 69 MGB:

Reaping the rewards of being a 'B' owner. Car looks great in that setting. You'll be lucky if you can wear clothes tomorrow.
