A friend of mine asked me the other day what is required (paper work etc.)to import a classic antique car from Europe. Since I have no idea I thought I would post the question here. The car is a '65 Riley Elf located in the Canary Islands.
Any help would be appreciated.

you may already have this site but if not a good place to start your research. I purchased a car from New Zealand and from UK but seller took care of all the paperwork..

NHTSA

I'd also check with US Customs.
Or find someone who's done this before.
I know a guy who imported a really nice
RS2000 Escort from Norway. He was saying
that you can do a lot of things yourself
to save time/money.
I can contact him if you're interested.
