this question is not really Healey specific but I'll ask it anyway...I made the mistake of putting my car cover on my car with the wheels off and got spline grease on it. can car covers be machine washed & dried? I have one of those yellow covers with sort of a "birds eye" perf look. thanks

I had one on my 57 TBird for years and washed it a few times in a commercial washer & Dryer at a laundromat. It seemed to stand up to that. But no guarantees.

Spline grease, yikes. I've gotten that on my pants and t-shirts. Washing may remove the grease, but the stain reminds me of my bad. Good luck with your cover. And when people ask, what's that? Let the story begin. Cheers, Roger
