WE HAVE ONE!!! After 2 years of looking at LBC's at every show we could get to, we have decided on a color for the SP (now in year 3 of restoration). Bentley Black Velvet, used from about 2001 on. My resto guy sent me a piece of metal painted in it and IT ROCKS!!! Yes, dark is risky on fiberglass because of ripples, etc. We don't care. Planning on enough coats of clear to make chip repair feasible and driving the heck out of it. Wooooo Hoooo, I am psyched.

Dale, is that car at Merryman's?

oooh hoo hoo! that's gonna be niiiice! I can't wait to see pics!

Me too!!!

Swift6-yes, very much like eggplant with a metallic undertone. SHMBO talked me into eggplant color on the Viking Professional appliances we just put in the redone kitchen, so the car will match.

John- yes, for ages now. Jack has been working on it for about 3 years as an original "just fix it" has evolved into a frame off total restoration. But, I bought this car in 1969 and have a very strong emotional attachment that transcends any rationality. My next task is to find seats with headrests that are low enough to fit.

Ben- pictures will include the engine bay and those lovely rebuilt SU's you provided.
