We recently added a `99 Jag XK8 to our collection and were wondering how to clean the black canvas top...and what products to use.....any recommendations.
https://www.bettercarcare.com/articles.php?articleId=26 has everything you need to know. I use 303 Hi-Tech Fabric Guard instead of Raggtop right now and it works fine, just don't skip the step about masking off the paint. I bought some CHEAP white sheets to cover the car with when I do the top.
Use the same soap & water you use to brush wash the rest of the car. I have had no problems with this approach in 15 years of owning cars with Haartz Stayfast canvas hoods.
