So. 5.5 years rebuilding the GT. Should I not be fed up with this process? Nope. Yesterday my buddy and I took a 4 hour trip to Gananoque, Ontario and picked up my newest addition to the family. A 1964 MGB pull handle. All the bodywork that I did on the GT has been done, just the engine bay needs to be finished and put back together. I'll put on new whatever is needed but it is basically all there. Today I worked on the engine bay, removing the heater box and brake box as well as the wiring and electical parts that are covered in overspray. :frown: But a little lacquor thinner and time will make it good. Here are a couple pictures:

You gonna work on the floor pans some?

Yes actually. They are missing that wonderful black tar like crap that took me 3 weeks to get off of the pans in the GT resurection project.

nice find! keep us posted

Wow, Paul. That's quite a "leg up" finding one with all the paintwork done!

Paul, I suspect your (tor)mentor on the GT project would agree your current project is a worthy endevour. I look forward to seeing you complete this one!

The great thing about this one is that Mary is quite excited about it. She has even insisted it go in HER name with HER personal license plate. I already talked her out of putting the wires on it and to stay with the saucer hubs.. with whitewalls of course. The car also came with a new black with red piping leather seat covers from the UK, new panels, new red carpet kit, all new brake parts and hoses new clutch MC, rebuild kits, new V8 bushings all around, new front and rear bumpers and over riders, rebuilt 3 bearing engine, extra front and rear suspensions with wire hubs, next to new gas tank, an extra low KM 5 bearing engine, good usable exhaust system.. etc. And some other goodies I haven't got into yet. And oh yes, new floor pans, new front right fender, rear fender, castle rails, sills, rockers.
Yup gunna be great when done.
To make room for this one though, I had to sell the '71. No real attachment to it anyway so I haven't shed a tear. (except my Cosmic Rims went with it) :frown:
