Canon R3 Announcement

I'm sticking with my Fuji gear... The poor man's Leica... I made the switch from Nikon dSLR four years ago now, before Nikon was building a mirrorless camera...

On the old forum's group I explained my "excuses" for going with Nikon's crop-sensor DX:
:
1) Money. Needed to get two bodies and lenses for both, as Mitsy's' fixed-lens Fuji was on its last legs.
2) No longer looking for photo jobs for a living.
3) My old fast primes work and I know how to shoot "manual" with no problem.
4) Money.

I did find a couple used DX primes on Ebay; a 35mm ∱1.8 and a 50mm ∱1.4. As Greg said, I'm "going back to my roots..." πŸ˜‰

Canon's R3 is certain to be a winner. They've done some remarkable things with their sensor development.

<joking> At 30 FPS, if a person can manage to keep the subject in the frame, they're bound to get the 'money shot'!! </joking>

It’s really a camera aimed at someone like a professional sports shooter. I suspect it will be out of my price range anyway. The R5 on the other hand I’m hoping will eventually come down a bit just like my 5DMark IV did.

I don’t blame you - especially given the type of photography you tend to do.
