Cannot remove Mobil 1 from my driveway....

My mechanic for my old Tahoe assumed because I have maintained my SUV well that all these years I had been running Mobil 1 synthetic in the beast. So, after changing the timing belt and other things (quarter of a million miles), he refilled the crank with Mobil 1. Wrong! I have never used synthetic oil in my vehicles. Now it leaks like a sieve! Synthetic oil everywhere on my driveway concrete. And nothing removes it. Super Clean, soap, pressure washer,....

Anyway, I dumped the synthetic and went back to real oil (the leaks stopped), but now cannot get my driveway clean. What to use???

Jackhammer?

I've heard of letting kitty litter set for a couple of days to absorb as much as possible, then spreading a thin layer of dry concrete and letting it set for a couple of days then sweeping it off. Although that discoloration might be worse than the oil spot. Regardless, once the oil has soaked in, it's made its mark. Good luck.

Muriatic acid.

Try a little first and see how it works.
Avialable in hardware stores, Home Depot, etc.

Time for an asphalt drive way.

Where a proper respirator for that stuff. Boy is it nasty.

Muriatic may work, but I'd be concerned that you are dissolving the driveway, not the oil. Sam's club around here carries the big bags of absorbant, probably the same as kitty litter. I'd use that in combination with some solvent shots like carb cleaner or engine degreaser.

Muriatic wont touch it but it will etch your drive way . Castrol super clean some plastic sheeting to cover and a hot sun then power wash and it will look better.I dont think theres is anything that will breck it down short of a top secret long chain polymer. Find that and sell it and make a million.

with that said you are correct you cant.................

Try pour-n-restore or powdered Tide laundry detergent without water (sprinkle it on, grind it into the surface with the sole of your shoe and sweep it up).

I like that. I use powdered Tide to kill the chinch bugs in my St. Augustine....
