My daughters just dragged me to see the Lemony Snickett movie. The banker in the movie drives an intersting British looking car. Does anyone know what it is?

Yes I thought that it was a Tatra as well.. Should have left IT on the railroad tracks...

Well, Tatra has never been known for making beautiful cars... The company founder - going back to the 1930's - was a brilliant engineer but had no sense of body design. He built very advanced car designs that had questionable styling.

You have to remember the orgins of the Tatra styling. The streamlined look was very ahead of its time. All the streamlined cars look odd to us now, but in their day, they were technologically and stylistically pretty amazing.

Granted, certain streamlined cars were better than others. The Chrysler/DeSoto/Imperial Airflow is pretty bad, but I've always thought Tatras were more tasteful.
