Can you hear the WHY ! !

I missed the "shortening" part of it.

Look closely at front wing in the third picture. The wheel well opening shape has been altered and the front wheel is further away from the bumper.

When one of the guys in the TR club heard I was going to replace the steering wheel on my TR3, he thought I might like one that he had, and he gave it to me. It was the same one as that craiglist TR3 has. I thanked him for it, but I had to hold back the puck reflex. It resides on a nail high up in the garage.

The Mustang II steering column must have been too short so he had to move the front wheels back to reach. Sure it seemed like a logical solution at the time.

I have to think of the work that went into it. If he put the same amount of work into it back to original it would be a very nice car. To each their own!

Looks like a ride from the late 60's when everyone was jacking up the rear ends of their cars. Never could figure that one out, especially when they slid all over in the rain.....and don't even think about driving them in the snow back then.

...and so it continues.....
