Some of the Custom Rods had Jaguar IRS systems - either chromed or powder coated.

Yes indeed, that is Agatha. As to the use of the Jag IRS (I know 'independent rear suspension system), why would they do that? I am not mechanically literate but know that my Jaq even at high speeds corners well and there is no 'sway.' I do think that it has an excellent suspension system. I know this is probably not politically correct but to me it feels as though it can feel the road - as can my Healey.

I guess my being is that I know what feels/acts correctly in my cars but I am not erudite enough to know why.

The reason you see the Jag IRS setup in hotrods is that it's a self contained unit that can easily be bolted up to a chassis to give your Hotrod IRS without much fuss or fabrication. and all the parts for it are readily available. not to mention that, all chromed up, it's a thing of beauty (it was before too, but you know what I mean).
Cool video.

the hotrod with the dual 671 blowers looks like a scary ride.

Well now that makes sense! Thanks for the explanation Banjo.
