On Sunday night, I finally declared Old Baldy "ready for sandblasting".

After many false starts, I got everything removed, and excavated a path to the garage door.

I had to wheel him back in again, since the sandblast guy said he'd need another week to come pick him up.

Well, I've waited I don't know how many months, one more week won't matter.

I got inspired to get the project moving again by attending my first TMGR gathering in Waco TX, last month.

Check out my pictures of the event. Yes, that is John Twist, setting up his tools on MY camp table!

The last four photos show the mayor of Waco announcing the declaration of "John Twist Day", at the Saturday dinner.

If any of you have never attended a TMGR GOF, I highly recommend the experience. Next on the schedule, Salado TX, next spring.

Some great photos. It seems there was a good roll up. How many were at the "gathering"? Bob
