I presently have a lumix dmc fz8 and have a chance to get a canon rebel ds6041 at under $100 should I or shouldn't I.:confusion:

I don't know how you could go wrong buying a 6041 for a hundred bucks! It's a nice camera even though their not made anymore, that shouldn't deter you, simply because, even if you buy something new, it's obsolete before you get it out of the store. Just make sure it works properly and doesn't need service. JMHO. PJ

Also known as the Canon EOS 300D, sounds like a good camera... Although I'm a Nikon shooter, don't know much about Canon's...

Does it come with any lenses? Or just the camera body alone... Factor in the cost of any lenses you may want to purchase, a good quality lens isn't cheap anymore...

I have a Canon DS 6041. It was my first foray into the Digital SLR world. FOr $100 - get it if it's in good working order! It's only 6.3MP but for just shooting good "snap shots" I've been very happy with it!

believe it comes with an 18-55mm lens, 2 battery's and charger
