Took a few pictures with my Olympus M10 Mk 111 and tried to upload and make some copies but it started acting up and wouldn't let me save. I got a message to fix the drive but it didn't work. I tried an older card from a different camera and it worked fine. I tried the card in the laptop and got the same message. I can see the pictures on the computer but can't save them. I went online but couldn't find a solution to that particular problem. Since I got that camera two years ago, I've had no problem. Any ideas?

Can you the camera set up its own WiFi network? The Olympus software lets you download photos directly from the camera over WiFi. I have used that when away from home with my E-M1’s. It may be slower, but maybe you can save images that way.

If you are pulling the pics off the card, is the card locked? There's a small tab on the card that allows you to lock it.
1. I slide the card directly into the card slot in the computer. Simplest way to transfer pictures.
2. The card is unlocked.
3. Could the card slot in the camera have corrupted the card somehow? I tried another card in the camera and it also caused the computer to go haywire. Pictures upload ok and are seen on computer; all of a sudden goes back to the previous screen, error messages flashing. I have a card reader somewhere but I can't find it.

I found the card reader, inserted the card, found a cable that had the correct end, hooked the other end into the USB ort, uploaded the pictures and saved like nothing had ever happened. Picture attached. The I slid the card into the card slot and got the error message. It's the card slot in the computer. Is there any way to clean it without ruining it?

Problem solved. I took my hearing aid brush, put some alcohol on it (I didn't have any electrical cleaning fluid) and pushed it into the slot. It didn't reach the end, so I brushed the metal contacts on the card, pushed it into the slot and pushed it in even harder. Cured the problem. I then blew out the slot with dust destroyer. It was just a bad connection in the card slot. Now you know what to do if you run into the same problem. I'll clean the camera card slot the same way.
