Cam, head and other stuff from the PO

I was digging through the box of extras that the PO gave me. Two things I found that I am interested in are a cam and a head.

How can I figure out which cam or type of head these are?

Also, I have a set of trim rings, they look like they are aluminum. Are these worth anything?
 
They are all from a TR6.

I was trying to figure out if they are worth keeping around or if they are just weights taking up space.

I know there was a change in the heads at some point, and I don't think my car has the unleaded conversion. so if this head would work on my car, I would probably take it in an have new valve seats put in, rebuild it and put it on the car.

But if it won't work on the car, I would want to find it a home where someone could use it...the same for the cam.

Is there an easy way to figure out which head it is?
 
You can compare the head with the one that is on your car by measuring the distance between the intake ports to make sure they are the same. You would also want to determine if it has been shaved, any cracks, damage, warpage. An engine shop can inspect it and help you out.
As far as the cam. You can measure it to determine the grind and inspect it for damage. Or, you can use it as a core toward the cam of your dreams.

That is what I needed.

So what about the wheel trim rings?
