TR6 Cam and Lifter failure in TR6's

I never though about it. But, Germany rescued us on the synchro rings. I think they should on the camshaft also. I have the measurements now, and when I get the cam that is in the engine now out, I wll check them, but, I already know they are not right.

Very Scary.....our past lives have too many things in common...

Luckily, I have had a great one for the past 20 years!!
 
Add about 15 years to that and you have the TR6 cam age, for those that are still working reliably.

Crane says to remove the inter valve springs for break-in; I don't think I have read that before. Other break-in instructions for Crane cams are a little different from the TR6 standard (if there is a standard):
