I noticed that when saw the car. I can only imagine that it’s due to the dry climate where it sits. It looks like it’s been sitting there for years. The chrome looks flawless.
Oh yeah, the interior was a mess. I knew about the winery but we didn’t stop. We did stop at general store in Elgin and they were selling the wine there.Did you stop at the Village of Elgin Winery? It is housed in a fomer brothel, the wine master there is the fifth Earl of Elham. He emigrated to the US to play football for the University of Wyoming. I saw the car many years ago, maybe fifteen? Yes the dry air helps preserve most of the metal on the car - not some much with the interior and rubber bits.
