Ok youze guys! I know there's gotta be a few of ya out there who like the old CJs too. I've got a 1980 CJ5 that is in need of some goodies. It's coming along steadily, but I'm not hooked up with any local "Jeep guys" to find what I need. It's a 258 I6, with a 4 speed manual trans. bone stock!
Here's what I'm lookin for.
A front driveshaft. (measures 31/32" installed)
A steel 15"x5.5 wheel, not wagon spoke, just plain disc type. most were painted white.
Spare tire bracket for a no-tailgate body
the step plates that hung down off the rockers. they were an "L" shaped stamped steel, painted black
and that's about it for now...
It's a long shot, but the more people I ask, the better my chances.
Will trade for TR4A parts!!!!! or carb rebuilds (minus the Kits) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

Sorry friend, all I have is a new pair of chrome tow hooks.

Wasn't it Enzo Ferrari who said that the Jeep was America's sports car? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Nope, but my local Mustang forum is like that too.

Couldnt you have a drive line made? Tom Woods https://www.4xshaft.com/index.html makes great DL's but can get expensive.
15" 5on5.5 white wagon wheel, Check with Dodge and Plymouth's of the 70's as well.
Good luck on the rest /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh I've got sources for new shafts. But I'm a tightwad.(actually I'm broke) so I'd like to source a good used one. The wheels are close between the Chrysler products, but the center hole on the Jeep is much bigger than any of the Chrysler stuff I've seen so far. It's just for a spare, so I'll come across one eventually.
Thanks for the ideas though.
