Both of those are incredible. The precision and patience involved it unbelievable.

The Triumph club that I belong to visited the basement of George Luhrs here on Long Island. He makes miniature engines. And when I say miniature, I mean that he has made the smallest bore running engine ever made at an incredible 1/8". He fired all of them up while we were there. All of his engines are spark ignition 4-strokes. He even makes the spark plugs. He showed us some tiny ones that had 0-80 thread on them. That's like 0.060". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

I've read about George Luhrs in The Home Shope Machinest magazine. Great stuff! That little V8 is neat too.

The scale Ferrari is almost too over the top for me.....heck, he could have built a full-size one easier!

I own about 50 small-scale steam engines that I've built over the years. Most of mine are pretty simple (I don't have Mr. Luhr's patience!).

The plans for many of my engines are ~HERE~

(I just noticed that my page has over 760,000 "hits"....but it's been up for a while)

These guys are unbelieveable. Hats off to them!

Makes you wonder how anyone could have enough time on
their hands.

Could be they have all the money, just what to do with
their time, huh?
