I have a BJ7 with two shot front callipers, i have tried to recon them but the threads on the bleed screw on one and on the entry hole for the brake line on the other are a bit shoddy, does anyone know of someone who could repair these, or if the threads have gone is that it ?
Only UK repairers please.

Rob

Hi Chicken, if the threads are trully shot IMOP-Bobs Your Uncle--Fwiw--Keoke

Give "Chriss Morris" a Jaguar breaker there in the UK a call he may be able to help.

I’ve never used these guys, but a local expert regards them highly, I’m sending my original brake and clutch master cylinders to them. Maybe someone else here has had dealings with them. I’ve been told they do work on parts from all over the world. It would seem pretty easy to “post” the calipers to them…

On the other hand, if your having difficulty locating used parts there in the UK, I’m confident this guy will have them:

https://www.britishusedautoparts.com/ Ask for Marshall, tell him I sent you, he’ll charge a bit more! He quotes via Email and is very knowledgeable, he ships all over the world.

Yep Dar100, those folks down in white post Virginia are very capable of the repair. I use them exclusively on all the LBC Brake parts I have restored.---Keoke

P.S. If Marshall has it you will need to give up an arm and a leg!- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

But you know what! he was the only one on the face of this earth who had the NOS Passenger side window for my car. Paid an Arm an a Leg for it too. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Maybe, but see what he has to say, there's another guy North of here about an hour, he advertises in Hemmings too, hold on...here it is: Fred Petroske, 315-649-2861, FAX: 315-649-4100, NY; email: petroske@tds.net I hope Hemmings doesn't get upset, I copied from their ad, anyway, I’ve been to his place, he's got barns of parts and that kind of keeps a balance to what others can charge!

I have NO connection to either of these guys, just know about them and Marshall has had what I've needed.

Good luck.

I thought Fred was predominantly in the Jaguar breaker business now I have also purchased items from him in the past. Is he still stocking Healey parts? A nice guy to know.---Keoke

Last I was there, he had stacks of MG and Healey parts, I asked him about a Healey head (6) a few weeks ago, he said he had one. I'm an hour away, I'm up that way every other week, or so, I wouldn't mind looking at something, if necessary.
