"NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Richmond hereby supports the Space Preservation Act and companion Space Preservation Treaty, to ensure that individuals will not be targets of space-based weapons."

Don't forget, Ronald "Star Wars" Reagan was one of ours!

However, I feel obligated to point out that Richmond did not originate the "Space Preservation Act", it was actually introduced by Dennis Kucinich from Ohio.

Richmond only passed a council resolution (not even a law) in support of the bill.

Everyone see "RED" with Bruce Willis? One of my favorite jokes in the movie is that every absurd statement made by the "tin foil hat" guy (played by John Malkovich) turns out to be absolutely true.

Wow... way back in 2001 no less! [love the characters that Malkovich plays]

I can't believe that the two council members couldn't get on-board with guarding against what seems to be an ever-increasing threat! Good luck getting re-elected.

In the mean time, I'll worry about simple things... like my fridge going on-line and visiting porn sites (or taking pictures of me and posting them on Facebook).
