Here's a shout out to all Healey owners who might be interested in witnessing our beloved marque driven as DMH had intended, in competition on the track.

The 2011 Sonoma Motorsport Festival (former Wine Country Classic) at Infineon Raceway June 2nd -5th is Steve Earle's and General Racing Limited's (Monterey Historic) only event limiting entries to just 400 cars. This year the Healey is well represented with an entry of each model having been accept to this premier event. The roll call of racing Healeys looks like this:

Greg Johnson - 1955 AH 100-S

Jeff Tamkin - 1956 AH 100-4

Doug Escriva - 1957 AH 100-6 MM

Bruce McCaw - 1959 AH Sebring/Nassau Sprite

The Group 1A 1955-1962 GT Cars I'll be competing in has a great assortment of makes which should be quite exciting. https://generalracing.com/attachments/193_SatGrps4Web.pdf

A car of note in my grid is Tom Price's 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO...........that's 25 million if your counting and he does RACE it.

If anyone has the opportunity to make it, the main race for the Healeys will be on Saturday June 4th so stop by my pits and say hi. There's always way too many Porsche and Alfa spectators present.

Nice. Wish I could buy a hardtop for $196.70 now!
Good luck in the race. It's a beautiful place to race. I saw it last summer while on vacation in Sonoma with my family.

Thanks Rich, it's one of my favorite tracks, very challenging and you can't beat the Napa Valley for the after racing festivities.

Sorry to miss it. Driving 5 hrs. to Sonoma in the rain through the Bayarrea doesn't work for me this weekend. [Rain, In June no less, weird.] So I'm headed east 2 hrs. to Buttonwillow Raceway for the British Extravaganza. Have a great time, wish I could make it. Both to watch the you Healeys race and to see my friend Robert race his orange Mclaren. Good luck! Rain tires is right! --elrey

Thanks anyway Elrey, I don't blame you. The rain is not what I was expecting traveling down to Cali from Portland, Or..... the NW rain forest. I did bring my side curtains and Avon rain tires just in case though. I had a good practice (qualifying) today on a dry track. Still learning the Sear Point track but had a great time passing a half dozen cars.
