Calgary Stampede?

I don't know, I never was a fan of the bloody Mary, and adding clam juice isn't taking it in the right direction for me!

Great photos by the way, I'll be heading to Calgary in a couple of weeks for another business trip - that downtown area is nice.

My wife has family in Calgary. Everyone in Calgary is a pro when it comes to drinking.

But we're only an insignificant little city, nothing exciting ever happens here, we're really rather boring here actually...

Calgary Stampede you ask? I've never been a huge fan, I struggle to get motivated by it... Yes, I do know that it is a large part of what makes us famous...

I would rather have a great Fringe Festival here, which we don't! :madder: I suppose Edinburgh claims that one...

I have a cousin (Trish Kalmanovich) who lives just up the road in Edmonton. She just ran for public office for the first time there and was only VERY narrowly defeated by the Conservative candidate! Times are achangin' out thataway!

Nah Mike...

Edmonton has always been a slightly more liberal place and generally more well known for the arts, Calgary is known for being very conservative, probably more than anywhere else in Canada and that is still very much the case...

Married in Calgary August 20, 1988 1pm everything else pales, even though it rained cats & dogs! Come to think about it that was appropriate for 2 veterinarians!

sherlock, i spent a couple of weeks in calgary when u guys had the olympics, i still have alot of items from that time, i actually traded/bought/sold olympic "pins" in the very spot you took that picture, had a wonderful time and found the natives to be great folks. :yesnod:, down side was having to scalp our speed skating tickets to defray the cost of having the flight crews rental car towed. all the parking meters had sacks over them, who knew? :madder:
