Calgary Vintage Racing Meet, pictures...

oooh, some nice cars, and nice shots to Sherlock. Some of my favs, the GT40 of course, the yellow Alfa GT (looks alot like a car that was for sale on Ebay a few months ago), the E-type racer, the Challenger T/A, and those Z's! I'd kill to have another 1st gen Z car, loved them. Hard to find them though without rampant rust. I think those cars would be rusted away to nothing by the time you finished washing them.

Good group of snaps James. I rather like the 2002 made up like n Alpina. Thanks for the link.

I bet the Bluebird bus was a handful in the twisties! I remember back in 86 I raced motorcycles in the Pacific NW and went to the Westwood track outside of Vancouver,BC They had a dual event there along the same scale as this. Classic bikes/cars. I was racing a Bultaco Mettrella and a Ducati Mach 1 for a friend. They had one set of car races then a set of motorcycle races throughout the day. If I remember they called it "Vintage Sprintage". Nice time, beautiful track. It exposed us classic bike guys to classic cars and vice versa. Good Times! That is how my fire got lit for the Healey.

Lots of fun going through those great pictures.

Bruce

Thanks... Had fun at the race meet, also had a good time hanging out with Mike for awhile over the weekend.

For such a small little race meet, there were some nice cars there.
