The garage is too cold to spend any time out there. I'm hatching all kinds of hare-brained schemes of what I want to do. It's run the course of; building a replica 1908 Curtiss single cylinder motorcycle from scratch. making engine castings and all. (Now leaning away from that after finding a detailed website of a guy that did exactly that with an Excelsior bike.Yikes!) to Building a "tribute" bike using my Maytag model 72 twin motor (Kinda got nixed after looking up NY regulations on motorized bicycles) to just getting the engine of the TR2 all put together and hearing it run. (Just too cold out to go do it).
I know this is practically "the winter that never was" but I need spring!
I gotta find something creative to do!!!!!
Maybe order a carb rebuild kit and spend some extra time making the SUs look really nice...... Hmmm.
And.. I could take my header in to work and get the heat paint on it... hmmm.
(In my best Capt. Jack Sparrow voice) "We have our heading!"
 
Hi Ben - I hear you on the "too cold" thing. And I don't even have a real garage!

Keeping the brain going during winter free time is tough. What non-profits orgs do you volunteer for?

Too cold and not doing anything here too. Kellys is stopping by RedBox and picking up movies. All we're gonna do is watch movies and eat. That's the usual birthday weekend here.

Gotta finish off a king cake and another box of cookies. All the soft shell crabs are gone already.
 
Nutmeg, I was involved in a few things, especially the youth group at church, and did a fair job burning myself out last year. There was something going every night of the week. I'm on sabbatical for the time being. and being very careful about what I commit to. My problem is more that I have grand ideas, and far too many fields of interest, and I just overwhelm myself.
There's plenty of things to be done that I can do indoors, but there's that ongoing quest for something new. I stumble on a new thread of something to learn about, and go crazy for a while perusing it. It usually winds up as another unfinished project.
My first thing to work on should be discipline.

finally snowing here.. the running TR sounds like the best option I have. I got the carbs in the basement cleaning them up now. I'll get my parts list together and place an order soon to get them all nice and ready.
I may see if I can sneak some of the hardware in with the next order we send to the platers from work. Clear zinc would look nice.
 
You could go down to the Greyhound depot,
& get your named paged over the PA system.
