Yesterday my older son and I drove out to Cabezon Peak (about 2 hours northwest of my house) to do a pre-shoot survey to determine the best setup location for a Supermoon shoot later in April. While there I took this sunset pano of the area.

Colors are awesome.

Nice shot on it's own. Is it stitched or cropped? Are you wanting to get the moon in the shot or have the moon light the landscape as the sun is doing in this shot?

It is several overlaping shots (5 or 6) stitched together. My hope is to get a good shot with the moon near the peak.
EDIT: I used the PhotoPills App with Augmented Reality on site to determine a good location and time to get the shot I want.

I'm thinking most of the peak and foreground will be black from being back-lit. Depending on how long you want to be there (and awake) waiting a couple hours for the moon to be overhead would give better light for the peak and the canyon. Combine those shots with the moon just over the peak. Just an idea.
