CA smoging woes...

I have been trying unsuccessfully to get working EGR parts for my '77 Midget.
I wonder if there is anyone out there that can give me a hint on what to do? Is there a way to not have to smog the car? Do I have to reengine it and if so what engine would I use?

Otherwise the little midget is a wonder to drive and I actually drive it to work (albeit only a 5 mi drive), so it is the familys second car and as such a car I don't really have the luxury to park if I don't want to start bike to work... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Do a search for seller 49ziggy on eBay and send him an email, he can get you any parts you need.
Good luck
Neil

California Used to have in place a "waiver" set up where when you couldn't get parts for an older car(that was valuable, not a rust bucket) you could get a "waiver".

Might want to research the CARB website and see if that option still exists.
